So not much to post today due to not much time here at school, but I might post something later in the day, but I leave you guys with this:

Also I know I've posted quite a few webcomics, but this next one I'm posting is something every person has to experience.  Perry Bible Fellowship is possibly one of the funniest things I have ever read in my life.  It's a very sick and twisted sense of humor, but we're all pretty sick and twisted so it would fit right into your life. Check it out and thank me later.

Nostalgia

You ever get those days where you wake up and you just miss your childhood?  I feel like that right now, I miss the old cartoons I used to watch all the games I played. For instance when I first started playing Pokemon Blue version there was a feeling that was indescribable, but I can never relive that feeling, it's gone now.  I somewhat feel like the guy in this video:

Great song, but it depresses me when I watch it.

Anyway enough of the tragedy and melancholy, how about some comedy?

Have a good day guys.

Different friday.

It's just another Friday here in Reno, except for the fact that it's snowing, again.

Not much else to report on...Oh yeah! I just remembered that I watched Atonement with a friend yesterday, really good movie.  Made me shed manly tears it's definitely something to watch.

Anyway you guys have a good day and I'll leave all this right here.

This video is a bit old but I really find it hilarious.

Grapefruit is the Devil

So this morning I had to go the library to go pick up a book, it's a kids book called Chowder which is actually a really good book.  If you ever get the chance read it, it's by Peter Brown.  Anyway when I come home I decide I need to eat considering I never ate breakfast.  So I go to the fridge and I get the last yogurt, which was peach, a glass of orange juice, and premade sliced grapefruit.  I eat the yogurt and drink some of my juice.  Now in the past I ate grapefruit and wasn't too fond of it due to the bitterness of it, this premade stuff made the real fruit taste sweet.  The fruit was beyond bitter, not even sugar could help this god-forsaken abomination of fruit, it was just awful, but i'm not one to waste food...so I ate it all with much disdain.

So that's my morning so far and I'm gonna head to class soon, so I leave you guys with these things and I hope you guys have a great day.

If you can understand this next picture then you are a nerd and aware of historical figures.

So let's see...

Recently I watched (500) Days of Summer.  Which was a fantastic movie.  I originally bought it from target around Christmas time due to the fact that it was only three dollars, I couldn't pass that up.  But it was only recently that I actually watched the damn thing and I'm glad I did.

The movie is funny, quirky, somber, and has an amazing soundtrack.  I definitely recommend this movie if you haven't seen it.

Now I also have a few things to show you guys:

This is just plain adorable

These next three comics are amazing.

For some reason this one really makes me giggle.

Anyway off to do homework.

A few things for today

So after a month long process of dealing with iTunes I've finally got my ipod back to working order.  Let me put some light on this subject though.

Originally I had an iPod that I had bought that obviously had all my music.  There were some issues going on with my computer so I had to wipe the hard drive clean, but saving everything I needed on an external hard drive though. Realizing that my my library was no longer on my computer I didn't know how to get all my music back.  After some digging around on the internet I found out that the ipod actually has internal folders that you can go through that carry certain files.  I also found out that you can find the folder that holds all the music on the ipod and actually extract it.  By doing this I was able to put that folder into itunes and my music was mine once again.  It was about a month or so ago I was going through my desktop trying to figure out how free up some space on the internal hard drive and I came across a folder, it was 16GB and I thought, "Geez, this thing takes up a lot of space."

So I deleted it.  It was so big my computer even told me, "This folder is too big to fit into the Recycle Bin. Did you just want to delete it?"  So I did.

A few days after that I had just bought a new CD and I wanted to put it on my itunes.  When I opened itunes, I saw a bunch of grey circles with exclamation marks in them.  I wasn't foreign to what these were so I already knew what they meant.  The file couldn't be found, and I thought for awhile about what could have happened...and then it dawned on me--the folder I deleted is the reason why my music is all gone.

The only things that remained in my library was music I had added after putting the folder in itunes.  So I now had to go through and manually put every album back into my itunes.  This was a good and bad thing at the same time.  The good?  I did have the music to actually put the music back without guessing what was on my ipod.  The bad?  I had to still search for everything to put on my ipod.

As I said before it was only recently that I finished, I had to put the music in itunes, get the artwork for the music I could find, and edit the information for the albums so the album itself doesn't reappear 80 fucking times because of an extra person for one song.

Either way though I'm glad it's all over, hopefully I don't have to deal with this again...hopefully.

So after this extremely long soliloquy, I also want to tell you guys about some other things.

First: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is pretty badass.  This will be something I will enjoy thoroughly .

Second: This is a serious matter

Thirdly: Math humor is great
Lastly: Nostaglia

This dog always seems to make me laugh.

Glorious Day.

So today is the day.  No, it's not shaking off the feeling of eternal loneliness that surfaced due to Valentines day, it's the day that

MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3 COMES OUT :O

which is some of the best news for me considering I've been waiting for this game for so damn long.  I've had the pleasure of playing the game at a Best Buy, I wasn't sure if it was a demo, but either way I'm already liking it.  The controls are tight, Magneto is tamed for God's sake, and the roster looks great.  At the moment I don't have a team put together, but that'll be something I'll make when I get the game.

Best part about this game is that the controls, and gameplay is based off of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, you know, that game nobody played for the Wii? Yeah, that one.  So this game is already going to be familiar for me considering that the combo system follows so closely to TvC.

Though I want to leave you guys with a question, what genre of video games do you like and what are your favorite of that genre?

For me?  I love fighting games, to death.  To really narrow it down is difficult for me considering I love so many fighting games, I would have to say King of Fighters XI.  That game just kicks a tremendous amount of ass, the only problem is I was probably the only person in Reno, Nevada to buy the damn game.

Another thing...

I forgot tell everyone Happy Valentines Day, so when you spend it with someone you love, whether it be yourself, enjoy the day.

No matter how inappropriately you put it, it's the thought that counts.

Sounds like somebody has a case of the Mondays.

So it's windy as hell in Reno, Nevada...for some weird reason.  While yesterday it was really nice and sunny, today it's overcast with winds that could toss children around.

Anyway I have a few things I want to show you guys, first is Explosm, if you haven't heard of Cyanide and Happiness before then you are missing out on a lot of hilarity.  If you have heard of them...good.  Another thing I want to ask just a simple question though.

Where do you live? and what is one thing  you like and dislike about it.  For me, as I said before, I hate the weather, but I love the convenience of things being open 24 hours.  So go ahead and leave a comment regarding the question.

Sunday is that you?

So it's Sunday and I don't have much for today considering I still quite a bit to study for again and because I have work in about an hour, but I do have some links that I think you guys should check out.

First is this man, who has some unbelievable talent.

Secondly, I'd enjoy nature if it was more like this.

Lastly, I need to find this book immediately.

How could I forget?  This post isn't complete without some funny picture, amirite?

Today

Is much better, after some winding thoughts my girlfriend decided she wanted to cheer me up and it really did work.

Overall for today I feel it'll be a good day.  I have some chapters to read for some classes, but that's not a problem...for now.  So before I go off and start doing some homework and doing my own thing I'll leave you guys with a few things.

First off you guys need to go here, here, and here.  These are three webcomics I've followed for a while except for the last one. For the second link, do yourself a favor and start from the beginning it's that fantastic.

Secondly and lastly, this about the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life:

It's one of those days.

Today, is a day where I don't feel too great, honestly I feel very indifferent towards things right now. I wish I could just sleep for the rest of the day.  Enough of my melancholy though, here's a gif to stare at.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

By the way...

Please take the time to really look around my blog at previous things I've posted, even though there isn't much, but click around and take a look at every thing that interests you. Thanks a lot guys.

Skullcandy Aviators

I recently ordered and received my Skullcandy Aviators.  I'll give a small review of these bad boys.

Appearance:
First off the look of these headphones are very pleasing to the eyes. They're slick, thin, and lightweight.  One of the first things you notice is the polished aviator lens on each headpiece which leave a very nice gleam every time light hits them.  The band is a piece of stitched leather that is covered by the two pieces of aluminum wire that go over and connect the whole thing and you see the skullcandy logo on the sides as well.

Sound:
One of the most important things to me is sound from my headphones and these headphones deliver completely.  They have a clear, crisp, and vibrant sound.  There is no muffle with any song I've heard so far and the bass is very hefty as well.

Comfort:
Comfort is another important aspect for me.  I have another pair of headphones from skullcandy which are the Hesh.  I love these headphones, they have a great sound and bass, but they hurt my head every single time I wear them.  They always give me a headache and hurt my ears after maybe an hour or two.  With the Aviators, that is not the case whatsoever.  When I first put these headphones on I fell in love with them.  They put no pressure on the head and are extremely comfortable on the ears. So let me reiterate what I think about the comfort level on these headphones

THESE ARE THE MOST COMFORTABLE HEADPHONES I HAVE EVER WORN.

Other Issues:
One of my biggest concerns about these headphones is the aviator lens itself.  I have this constant fear that if I apply any pressure to them if they're in my backpack or anything, that they might break.  The lens itself is also very determined on showing any trace of smudges and fingerprints, but luckily the headphones come with a microfiber cloth so you can clean them off.

Second issue is the price.  These bad boys are going to cost you around $149.95. Personally though I feel that they are worth the price.

Extras:
With any skullcandy's you get a stencil and whatnot, but the highlight with these headphones is a very nice and stylish leather carrying case that they come with.

The headphones also have a feature of being able to control your music and volume.  The headphones have a little controller near the top of the headphones.  There is a button to raise the volume, a button to lower the volume, and there is a center button with the skullcandy logo that controls your music.  You pus the button once to pause your music, you push it again to unpause the song.  When you push the center button twice it skips the song ahead to the next track.  If you push the button three times it goes back to the previous track, but this feature only works if you do it in the first few seconds in the beginning of a song.  So if you push the button three times in the middle of song it will just go to the next track and pause, personally I found this to be a bit of letdown, but not something that ruins the headphones.

Overall:
Overall I absolutely love these headphones and I would definitely recommend them, they have a good sound, stylish look, and a warranty that skullcandy gives with every headphone they have.  The positives outweigh the minuscule negatives and I would highly recommend that if you have the money for these that they would be a very great investment for your music enjoyment.

Good morning to all.

So it's another day and i'm feeling not too bad.  I have a science class to go to tonight at four and I worked on a Lesson Plan that I had to do for that class yesterday, but it was all worth it...either way, funny picture time.

"Good Music"

This is a term that is obviously subjective, there is never a definitive definition of what "Good Music" truly is, but people can agree what on what it could be.  We set standards and benchmarks as to what can be considered "Good Music"

I'm no expert in what music is, but I can detect quality music when I hear it, I listen to all sorts of music, but I mainly like to listen to a lot of underground Hip-hop and good quality mainstreak hip-hop.  I enjoy Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Blueprint, k-os, MF Doom, Madvillian and the list can go on and on.  Only recently though have I found, a flower of a song.

My box of things.

At the moment I'm sitting at the library at the University of Nevada waiting for class. To give all of you a bit of a glimpse in my life I'm going to be an elementary school teacher so I'm taking a methods class on different subjects.  Currently I'm waiting for my class on how to teach social studies to begin.

So for this class today we have an assignment we had to do over the weekend and the assignment was that we had to bring five items that were important to us or had some sort of significance to us.  I'm going share my things with you guys.

The list is no particular order of importance

Each thing has it's own meaning, but at the moment i'm not gonna dwell on it, maybe another time though.
